DESCRIPTION:The second edition of this event aims to introduce and promote Open Water Swimming (OWS) as an activity for sports\, leisure\, and fitness\, besides also inculcating the awareness on marine conservation among its participants.   \nThis event covers three categories of swimming distance: 8km\, 4km\, and 1.5km. To support the involvement and development of posterity for this swimming event\, a 400 meter-distance category for children would also be introduced. \nThe organising of such event is a new initiative taken to highlight Langkawi as a safe water sports destination\, therefore also contributing towards the development Langkawi’s tourism industry.
