Langkawi Development Authority (LADA) had established a collaboration with MORAC Adventure Park in organising \u2018Go Langkawi 6 Hours Endurance Race 2021\u2019 motorsports event at MORAC Adventure Park circuit in Langkawi. This event with the concept of 6-hour non-stop kart racing was held between 8th to 10th January 2021 and is the first ever of its kind being organised in Malaysia. <\/p>\n

It had successfully received participation of 13 teams comprising 49 drivers from professional and amateur categories who were involved throughout this race. The race was also livened up with the participation of two iconic national racers, Alex Yoong and Mohd Fairuz bin Mohd Fauzi.<\/p>\n

It is therefore hoped that the organising of such event could promote Langkawi Island as an international-level sports event organising hub, including kart racing that is also known as \u2018karting\u2019. Besides, it is also expected to be able to introduce Langkawi as a world-famous family tourism destination as the sports is suitable for the viewing of every motorsports\u2019 enthusiast regardless of age.<\/p>\n

The event was also held to showcase the possibility of motorsports event organising without neglecting the SOPs issued by Malaysian National Security Council (MKN) and Ministry of Health (KKM) when the country is faced with COVID-19 pandemic. The efforts to revitalise tourism event organising while confronting the challenges of COVID-19 will be continued from time to time, for the continuity of economic recovery on this island.<\/p>\n<\/div>
