Langkawi, 30th January 2020 \u2013 Langkawi Development Authority (LADA) has planned several smart sharing programmes in collaboration with tourism industry players to promote Langkawi.<\/p>\n

A few short-term and long-term programmes have been devised to focus on domestic, ASEAN region, short-haul, and medium-haul markets. Some of the planned programmes include:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Tala Mai Langkawi (Set Your Compass to Langkawi) for domestic market;
\n\u2022 Media Fam Trip (Familiarisation Trip) for ASEAN market with focus on Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia;
\n\u2022 Special package with exclusive price discount for ASEAN market;
\n\u2022 Fam Trip in collaboration with Qatar Airways and Tourism Malaysia for Scandinavian and Eastern Europe markets;
\n\u2022 Participation in Mumbai Outbound Travel Mart (OTM) promotion programme from 3rd to 5th February 2020; and
\n\u2022 Sales activities in Middle East from 26th to 28th February 2020.<\/p>\n

It is therefore hoped that the programmes prepared would help alleviate the impact of package booking cancellations in Langkawi by tourists from Mainland China.<\/p>\n
