Langkawi, 19th August 2020 \u2013 Langkawi Development Authority (LADA) in strategic collaboration with Langkawi District Education Office (PPD), Panorama Langkawi Sdn. Bhd. (PLSB), and Langkawi Port Sdn. Bhd. (LPSB) had organised Langkawi Student Excellence Award (A-Kawi) from 16th to 19th August 2020. The programme was part of human capital development segments for community, coordinated to acknowledge Langkawi students who had successfully obtained excellent examination results in 2019. This year, 93 excellent students from various primary and secondary schools around Langkawi were celebrated after excelling their UPSR, PT3, SPM, and STPM examinations. <\/p>\n

The organising method for this time was, however, different compared to the previously held ceremonies. This award was conducted in a span of four (4) days to avoid huge social gathering of the attendees. It was also part of the steps taken to comply with the government-enforced Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) for everyone\u2019s health and safety. The programme was also held with strict observance of physical distancing, face masks wearing, and preparation of hand sanitisers. All attending guests and award recipients were advised to practise self-hygiene, avoid crowding particularly in closed spaces, and comply with the SOPs in force.<\/p>\n

    LADA hopes that such programme will continue to motivate and pave opportunities for Langkawi students to remain successful in their future. LADA and Langkawi PPD will maintain such collaboration to nurture a generation of brilliant students, in hopes to elevate the prestige of educational system and performance of native-born Langkawi students to a distinguished level.<\/p>\n
