Langkawi, 27th March 2022 – 100 Langkawi entrepreneurs had joined the Entrepreneurial Talk: From Zero to Hero Programme held in LADA Auditorium today.
This programme is part of initiatives for the thrust of bolstering entrepreneurs with innovation and competitiveness as outlined under LADA 2022-2026 Strategic Plan. This initiative is carried out to empower small and medium-sized entrepreneurs (SMEs) in Langkawi with a sharing of experience by 2006 Female Entrepreneur Figure, Puan Rozita binti Ibrahim.
“LADA and Langkawi entrepreneurs are grateful to have a successful local entrepreneur icon for a sharing session on knowledge and experience obtained through the business that she has worked on for 20 years. Thank you Bonda Rozita for fulfilling our invitation today. I am convinced that this session has succeeded in boosting the spirit of Langkawi’s small and micro industry players to continue their effort in redeveloping their businesses, especially in facing the economic recovery phase this island is going through,” said YBrs. Tuan Nasaruddin bin Abdul Muttalib, Chief Executive Officer of LADA as he met the media.
“We also hope that the bumiputera entrepreneurs in Langkawi would always seize every available chance at this moment to expand their businesses into segments that would provide them with bountiful revenues. Entrepreneurship requires one to possess high interest and commitment. Therefore, entrepreneurs must always equip themselves with information and knowledge on ins and outs of business. Knowledge and skills in financial management, business administration, and marketing would be very helpful for them in determining the direction of their businesses,” he further commented.
LADA is also drafting several strategies and initiatives to continue spurring the development of community and entrepreneurs in various aspects, in line with the nation’s transformation objectives and development. This includes contributing numerous forms of support to Langkawi entrepreneurs which amount to not less than RM 400,000 from 2020 until 2021 under New Economic Opportunities (PEB) of Langkawi Economy Roadmap Plan (HELANG).
Meanwhile, Bonda Rozita also hoped that the information sharing pertaining her experience in expanding her business, Sendayu Tinggi Holdings Sdn. Bhd. which was established 23 years ago could inspire all entrepreneurs in Langkawi to continue developing their businesses. The company was the starting point of her success that has led towards the establishment of JRM Holistik Sdn. Bhd., a company focusing on marketing herb-based products. Currently, the company has stockists and distributors from all over Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei.
