Langkawi, 6th March 2022 – 200 Langkawi students received contribution in Back to School Programme 2022 held on 6th and 7th March 2022.
The community charity programme organised by Langkawi Development Authority (LADA) in collaboration with Langkawi District Education Office (PPD) presented the theme “Hidupkan Hati Dengan Ilmu” (Keeping Hearts Alive Through Knowledge). Being part of the community development components, the programme aims to further consolidate human capital development in Langkawi.
“We aim to deliver contribution to the orphans as well as children who are less fortunate or with underprivileged family backgrounds on this island. Each of them will be given RM150 cash contribution, bringing the total to RM 30,000 for all 200 recipients. We would also like to thank Langkawi District Education Office for facilitating LADA in identifying students in need for the programme this time,” said YBrs. Tuan Nasaruddin bin Abdul Muttalib, Chief Executive Officer of LADA.
He further added that the programme was also held mainly to relieve the burden on the disadvantaged in preparing for the upcoming new school term this year. Apart from that, this programme was also hoped to motivate and cheer up the underprivileged students to return to school soon.
LADA will continue its effort in implementing various human capital development programmes to ensure that Langkawi youths are not left out in the midst of modernization. May all of them excel in their studies and soon become successful in any career fields they choose to go into.
