Langkawi, 9th March 2022 – Langkawi Development Authority (LADA) had delivered a business support to Puan Faizah @ Nazirah binti Saadan, Langkawi mooncake entrepreneur via the purchase of an industrial oven. The oven was handed over by LADA’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Planning and Development), YBrs. Tuan Wan Kamarul Faisal bin Wan Kamardin. This contribution is part of the initiatives outlined under New Economic Opportunities (PEB) of LADA’s Langkawi Economy Roadmap Plan (HELANG). The plan focuses in helping entrepreneurs who have been affected with the socioeconomic impact of COVID-19 pandemic.
Puan Faizah is not only taking orders from home but also selling her halal homemade mooncakes at food kiosks around Langkawi such as ‘Gerai Kecil Eonni’ in Padang Matsirat and Midat Café in Kuah.
LADA therefore hopes that the purchase of this oven could boost Puan Faizah’s motivation in increasing the productivity of her mooncakes and expanding her business into a larger market.
