Langkawi, 15 February 2023 – The Langkawi Development Authority (LADA) has channelled business support to Dangau Langkawi Enterprise. The delivery of this business support was completed by Cik Waffa Wahida binti Zainol, Investment and Business Facilitation Division Manager of LADA.

This support is part of the New Economic Opportunities (PEB) initiative under the Langkawi Economic Roadmap (HELANG) to help entrepreneurs affected by the COVID-19 outbreak. This support has successfully ended at the end of 2022 as the economic sector is seen to be recovering and remaining resilient. Furthermore, business operations have resumed as usual as the tourism sector recovers, with an increase in the arrival of domestic and international tourists to Langkawi. Overall, this project has successfully helped a part of the Langkawi community whose sources of income have been affected due to the COVID-19 pandemic that has hit the country.

The owner of this company, En. Mohd. Zaidi bin Abu Hassan has been running a food and beverage business with a classic and village-style concept. Dangau Langkawi located in Kg. Mawat, Ulu Melaka is increasingly becoming the choice of visitors to enjoy the food while looking at the vast greenery of the paddy granaries against the background of the hills and the amazing view of the sunset. LADA has provided him with a bakery chiller to help with his business operations. In addition, the provision of this equipment can indirectly help the local community who are interested in placing desserts such as cakes and pastries in his cafe.

LADA is always concerned in helping local entrepreneurs to further expand their business to increase their source of income. Hopefully this support will be an incentive for all entrepreneurs to be more enthusiastic about boosting their productivity of existing businesses and expanding the market of this business to a further level.
