Supported by Global Geoparks Network (GGN) and UNESCO regional offices, we will be hosting the 5th regional course on UNESCO Global Geopark to increase the sustainability of our Geopark. The workshop will focus on geosite developments and geotourism, delivered exclusively by GGN experts.

More than 1,200 athletes will compete and go through a 3.8km swim, 180km bike and 42.2km run to be declared an IRONMAN finisher. Athletes will get a chance to qualify for the IRONMAN World Championship in Kailua Kona, Hawaii and race among the best in the world.

The Langkawi International Beach Soccer is open to all teams in Malaysia and internationally to countries such as Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, Singapore, China, Australia, Japan, Brunei, Myanmar and Laos. This tournament is organised by the Football Federation of Langkawi to promote beach soccer in Langkawi

“Hari Mahsuri” is a programme with the aim to showcase the story of Mahsuri from a new and contemporary perspective through musical theatre, storytelling, sales of souvenirs and lots more. This is and culture of the Langkawi community

An initiative to introduce and promote Open Water Swimming (OWS) in Langkawi as an activity for leisure, fitness, sports, and marine conservation awareness. LSF also the 1st swimming in Malaysia and South East Asia to be sanctioned by World Open Water Swimming Association (WOWSA)
