Langkawi, 9th April 2022 – Jelajah Ramadhan LADA in Langkawi for this year has commenced today, focusing on supporting the asnaf (aid recipients) and community in need.
This programme is a collaboration between Langkawi Development Authority (LADA) and its subsidiary as well as associate companies, Panorama Langkawi Sdn. Bhd. (PLSB), Langsura Sdn. Bhd. (LGSB), and Langkawi Port Sdn. Bhd. (LPSB).
The first destination for this year’s Ramadhan tour was Al-Aman Mosque, Yooi, Langkawi. This programme is organised to provide contributions to asnaf, thereby further strengthening the silaturrahim (relationship) and spirit of togetherness between LADA, its subsidiary as well as associate companies, and the local community.
“This year, the Jelajah Ramadhan LADA will be held thrice, focusing on fostering good relations between LADA, our subsidiaries, and the local community through several activities including preparation of bubur lambuk (a type of porridge often prepared during Ramadhan), iftar (breaking fast), congregational Maghrib prayer, and delivery of contribution for asnaf residing in the sub-district involved. This effort will be continued by LADA from year to year in honouring the month of Ramadhan, aside from also encouraging everyone to give donations throughout this holy month that guarantees great and multiplied rewards for those who pursue them,” said YBrs. Tuan Nasaruddin bin Abdul Muttalib, Chief Executive Officer of LADA.
This programme will be continued afterwards at two more locations, namely As-Sofiah Mosque, KEDA and Ar-Rahman Mosque, Kedawang on 17th and 21st April 2022 respectively. The involvement of kariah (the area or boundary in which a mosque is situated) members at every mosque is indeed encouraging, reflecting great cooperation between government agencies and the local community.
“Alhamdulillah, a total of 96 asnaf will each receive contribution in the form of cash and daily necessities worth RM150.00 throughout this programme. We hope that the contribution delivered would be able to help relieve the burden of all families involved during this Ramadhan and the soon approaching Syawal,” added YBrs. Tuan Nasaruddin.
This year, LADA is again collaborating with its broadcasting strategic partner, RTM Langkawi in organising the first leg of this year’s Ramadhan tour. Such collaboration is indeed beneficial in forging great relations between government agencies on the island in supporting the locals.
