17th July 2020 – LADA conducted a meeting regarding the amendment proposal of Langkawi Development Authority Act 1990 (Act 423) at Ombak Villa. The meeting session was held with representatives from the Ministry of Finance to discuss a few matters related to the applicability of feasible act amendment in consolidating LADA’s governance. This action was done to ensure each performed governance works in parallel with LADA’s latest functions and roles. The act was also refined to safeguard the sustainability of Langkawi island’s development, hence rewarding the local community with a great deal of profits in the future.
