Langkawi Development Authority (LADA) has initiated recce trip & meeting with ITAKA, one of Poland’s biggest tour operator from 20 – 24 Sept 2023. ITAKA’s headquarters is located at Opole, and the operations office at Warsaw, with a chain of Company Shops across Poland. ITAKA cooperate with more than 1,000 best travel agencies world wide.
During the previous ITB BERLIN 2023, LADA has discussed with ITAKA to seek potential collaboration to initiate series of chartered flights between Langkawi, Malaysia & Warsaw, Poland in 2024. They are very keen to commence a series of Charter Flights and is finalising the agreements with hotels in Langkawi.
This meeting also involved Malaysia Airport Holding Berhad (MAHB), Civil Aviation Authority and Destination Management Company. LADA offers the Langkawi Charter Flight Incentive Programme to ITAKA together with MAHB’s incentive which is Airlines X-Celeration Programme (AXP).
ITAKA operates in various markets, mostly based on charter operations. ‘We have leased Boeing 787 Dreamliner with 294 seats to which can fly directly from Warsaw to Langkawi; a new and exotic destination for us’ said Jaralow, Head of Charter Operation.
