Langkawi UNESCO Global Geopark hosted 110 participants from various agencies, NGO & companies for the 110th IGSC today in conjunction with World Clean Up Day 2023 at Kilim Karst Geoforest Park. 455 kg of plastic waste and marine debris were collected and sent to the recycling centre.

Shout out to the whole team from UKM, Puspanita LADA, Langkawi District Office, SW Corp, E-Idaman, Langkawi Forestry Department, Dream Forest (Enfiniti) & Koperasi Komuniti Kampung Kilim for supporting LADA’s effort as the custodian of UNESCO Global Geopark in Langkawi to reduce the amount of floating rubbish found in the waters of our beloved island. This program aims to preserve and promote the beauty of the island so it remains beautiful for the comfort of tourists and local residents.
