The 26th edition of the Le Tour De Langkawi 2022 has come to a close with Ivan Sosa of Team Movistar being crowned the overall champion. Hugh Cartly of the EF Education-EasyPost team won second place. Torstein Træen of the Uno-X Pro Cycling Team placed third overall.

Terengganu Polygon Cycling Team (TSG) rider, Muhammad Nur Aiman Zariff successfully defended the title of King of the Hill or Red Jersey for the second time in a row since 2020.

The Green Jersey also known as the Sprint King was won by Erlend Blikra of the Uno-X Pro Cycling team, who collected 49 points. Meanwhile, Jambaljamts Sainbayar also brought joy to the TSG team when he was crowned the Best Asian Rider and won the White Jersey with a total time of 25:56:32s. In the team category, TSG was also tops in the Best Asian Team category while the Movistar Team topped the overall Best Team category.

This year, Langkawi served as the championship’s finish line, with two stages of the race: Stage 7 with a distance of 107.1 km and Stage 8 with a distance of 115.9 km.

The one-day Stage 8 race was won by Alex Molenaar of Burgos-BH, who crossed the finish line with a record of 2:25:37s, with Jason Osborne coming in second. Juan Sebastian Molano of UAE Team Emirates completed the stage podium.

The prestigious race, Le Tour de Langkawi (LTdL), will remain a pro-series for the next edition from 2023 to 2025.
