Langkawi, 26th May 2022 – The Monthly Assembly Ceremony of Langkawi Development Authority (LADA) was once again held today for May 2022 in LADA Auditorium. This time, the assembly was organised by Internal Audit Unit (UAD) setting forth the theme ‘Demi Akad dan Keikhlasan Melaksana’ (For The Pact and Honesty in Fulfilling Duties) in conjunction with Labour Day and International Internal Audit Awareness Celebration held in May every year.
The ceremony began around 9.00 a.m. with ‘du’a’ (supplication) recitation by Encik Mohd Suhairy bin Saidun, followed by viewing of LADA Bulletin for events, activities, and programmes held throughout April 2022. The assembly later was continued with viewing of a special video entitled ‘Myths and Facts of Internal Audit Unit’ prepared by UAD. Through this video, roles and functions of the unit in helping to evaluate the effectiveness of all control and governance processes in LADA was clearly delivered in a fun and entertaining way.
Through her speech, Cik Johaniffa binti Jamil, UAD Manager had kindly requested for every LADA staff’s support and collaboration in ensuring that auditing at departmental level could be implemented systematically, accurately, and following the standards that have been set. The assembly then reached its highlight – pledge reading by all LADA staff led by Encik Muzaffar bin Zoher and was later continued with speech by YBrs. Tuan Nasaruddin bin Abdul Muttalib, LADA Chief Executive Officer. In his speech, the CEO asked all LADA staff to strengthen their solidarity by preserving and safeguarding the department’s image all the time.
The assembly was finally concluded with a singing performance of ‘Hang Pi Mana’ by LADA choir team highlighting the theme of transparency in work and carrying out responsibilities assigned to every individual.
