Langkawi, 27 February 2023 – The Langkawi Development Authority (LADA) in collaboration with the Institute of Environment and Development (LESTARI), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia has organised a special forum, the Ocean Malaysia Forum: Sharing Goals for the Sustainability of the Andaman Sea, Langkawi as a Starting Site (Demonstration Site).
The Ocean Malaysia Collaboration Workshop was officiated by Dr. Azmil Munif bin Bukhari, Deputy Manager of Tourism Division, LADA. Also present together is Prof. Associate Dr. Sharina Abdul Halim, Director of LESTARI to represent UKM. The Ocean Malaysia Forum was attended by a total of 100 participants consisting of all stakeholders including academics, the government, NGOs, the private sector, and the local community.
