Langkawi, 28 February 2023 – Muhamad Zahir Naiman bin Ismail proved that his determination and high fighting spirit will definitely lead to success when he successfully sailed solo for a distance of 21.6 nautical miles or almost 40 km from Kuala Perlis to Langkawi.
Upon his arrival at about 4 pm at the Dayang Bay Sailboat Complex, Zahir Naiman was greeted by representatives of government departments/agencies and honorary dignitaries. Also present to celebrate this historic success was Tuan Wan Kamarul Faisal bin Wan Kamardin, Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Planning and Development), LADA.
At the same event, the ceremony of presenting the Malaysia Book of Records certificate was presented to Zahir Naiman for the record he had created as the Youngest Solo Sailor of Kuala Perlis-Langkawi.
Congratulations Zahir Naiman! Hopefully this success will inspire the young people of Langkawi to achieve more distinguished successes.
