The Assembly of Langkawi Frontliners (4/2019) was held on last 23rd December 2019. It acted as a platform to discuss issues and solutions to related matters on Langkawi’s tourism industry. 11 issues raised in the previous session had been worked out by parties involved. For this session, two main proposals and planning for tourism activities in Langkawi were tabled to all representatives of departments and industry players concerned. The following were the proposals presented during the assembly:
1. Langkawi Travel Fair 2020 Promotional Programme Proposal (Domestic Market)
2. Calendar of Events 2020 Launching Ceremony
A few announcements were also made to circulate information regarding the Tourist Welcome Reception to Langkawi in conjunction with Visit Malaysia Year 2020, Kuah Heritage Walk, and the opening of Geopark Discovery Center.
This session was joined by 40 representatives of agencies and industry players.
