Langkawi Chung Hwa Association in collaboration with Langkawi Parliamentary Office, Langkawi Development Authority (LADA), and Kuah State Legislative Assembly Representative (ADUN) Office had organised the Chinese New Year Celebration Programme and Chap Goh Meh Night on 7th February 2020 at Dataran Lang, Langkawi. The organising of this programme was also supported by Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH) and government agencies in Langkawi. This programme is one of the iconic annual events in LADA community event calendar 2020.
Various attention-grabbing performances were paraded to the audience including the representative lion, dragon, and traditional dances. Also showcased were the performances of songs and school students, as well as Biàn Liǎn (face-changing) performance.
This Chinese New Year Celebration was officiated by YB Tuan Mohd Firdaus Bin Ahmad, Kuah State Legislative Assembly Representative (ADUN) cum Kedah State EXCO as well as Chairman of NGOs and Information, Communication and Multimedia Committee.
