Representatives from LADA, the Panorama Langkawi company and the Mega Watersports Langkawi company paid a courtesy call to Tourism Malaysia’s Amsterdam branch led by its Director, Puan Sharifah Hafsya to discuss further strategies and collaboration in bringing in tourists from the Netherlands to Langkawi. This discussion is also enhanced by meeting a potential travel agency from the Netherlands. Tourism Malaysia Amsterdam in collaboration with LADA will bring in travel agents for the Fam Trip in October 2023.
Following on from that, LADA is also planning a number of promotional strategies to attract tourists from the Netherlands, Belgium and the Nordic countries to Langkawi in the future. Special Charter Flight Incentives to Langkawi and MICE Incentives are also offered by LADA to agents or flight planning companies that have the potential to bring tourists to Langkawi. Based on the 2019 statistical records, the Netherlands is among the top 10 markets travelling to Langkawi with 33,209 tourists, which is RM102,947,900.00 worth of income to Langkawi.
