Langkawi, 8 March 2023 – The Frozen Food Making Course was held on 7 and 8 March 2023 at the Langkawi District KEMAS Office. The course organised by the Langkawi Development Authority (LADA) in collaboration with the Langkawi District KEMAS Office aims to provide exposure and guidance to Langkawi entrepreneurs and prospective entrepreneurs to venture into the field of food business based on frozen foods. This course has received a very encouraging response and a total of 40 participants have been selected to follow this course.

The participants were given instructions on how to prepare local ‘kuih’ such as samosas, steamed pau, cucur badak and onde-onde. This course has been conducted on a hands-on basis to ensure that participants are technically proficient in the preparation of high-quality, commercial products that meet the needs of customers. This course has been successful where the participants are very confident in the business they are about to venture into.

It is the hope of LADA that this programme can have a great economic impact on the participants and be able to make them viable, innovative and competitive entrepreneurs in the future.
