The Ministry of Youth & Sports (Langkawi Office) collaborated with LADA to host 70 students from SMK Tunku Putra & SMK Mahsuri whom participated today’s Idaman Geosite Clean Up (IGSC) at Geosite Teluk Mempelam. The group collected 200kg of marine debris and plastic waste along the beach and camping area.
Special thanks to the students for supporting LADA’s effort as the custodian of UNESCO Global Geopark in Langkawi to reduce the amount of floating rubbish found in the waters of our beloved island. This program aims to preserve and promote the beauty of the island so it remains beautiful for the comfort of tourists and local residents.
