Langkawi, 5th May 2021 – Langkawi Development Authority (LADA) was invited to collaborate with RTM Langkawi for a Jelajah Ramadhan (Ramadhan Tour) Programme. The programme was also joined by Ayer Hangat State Legislative Assembly Representative (ADUN) Service Centre, Langkawi Tourism Academy, Serantau Muslim Welfare Organisation (NGO), and Al-Istiqamah Mosque Committee, Kuala Teriang.
Various activities were organised for the whole day, including the presentation of cash and daily necessities contributions worth RM 150.00 each for 20 families. LADA was represented by En. Mohd Syafiq Md. Lani, Senior Assistant Manager of Corporate Services Unit. Also present were En. Bahari bin Ahmad, Secretary of Kuala Teriang Al-Istiqamah Mosque Committee and En. Mohd Fauzi bin Mohamed Dali from Langkawifm.
This programme was also enlivened with community activities such as the distribution of raya cookies to frontliners at a few selected locations in Langkawi. Besides that, all involved agencies and the mosque also carried out gotong-royong (communal work) of bubur lambuk (a type of porridge often prepared during Ramadhan) preparation to be distributed to local community.
