The Jom Derma Darah 2020 programme was launched this morning by YBhg. Dr. Hezri Adnan, LADA Chief Executive Officer cum Chairman of Langkawi Port Sdn. Bhd. Board of Directors. It was organised by Tanjung Lembung Port Sports & Wellness Club (KSKPTL) and Sultanah Maliha Hospital (HSM).
Such programme had been conducted thrice before, with blood donation events taking place starting from 2017 (97 donators) and continued in 2018 (94 donators) as well as in 2019 (67 donators). The organisers hope to receive an increased amount of blood donations this year to help those in need in the future. Therefore, all Langkawi community is greatly welcomed to visit Tanjung Lembung Port today for the blood donation event.
This year also witnesses a slight difference compared to the previous organising, as various government agencies and private parties also participate by conducting exhibitions aside from giving blood donations, which include:
- Department of Statistics Malaysia
- National Anti‑Drugs Agency
- Malaysia Civil Defence Force
- Bank Kerjasama Rakyat (Bank Rakyat)
- Andalusia Travel & Tours Sdn. Bhd.
- Pharmacy & Organ Units, Sultanah Malihah Hospital
