Langkawi, 12 March 2023 – The Langkawi Development Authority (LADA) through the Corporate Services Unit (UKK) in collaboration with the Training and Competence Unit (ULK), Human Resource and Management Services Division (BSMKP), the National Association of Wives of Civil Servants and Women Civil Servants (PUSPANITA) LADA and the Langkawi Woman Association (LAWA) have organised a talk programme in conjunction with the LADA’s 33rd Anniversary Celebration.

This programme is carried out in two sessions with the titles “Penipuan Terancang atau Kita Senang Tertipu” (Planned Deception or We Are Easily Deceived) and “Scam! Harapan Bertukar Kehampaan” (Scam! Hope Turns to Frustation) which were delivered by YBrs. Tuan ASP Rahmat Fitri bin Abdullah. A total of 350 participants have attended this programme consisting of the Langkawi community as well as various government agencies around Langkawi including LADA staff.

The objective of this talk programme is to provide exposure and information to the Langkawi community to increase awareness of cyber threats and crimes that are becoming more prevalent in Malaysia today. In addition, this talk programme is one of the methods for building relationships and bringing LADA closer to the community on Langkawi Island.
