22 February 2023 – The second day of the SandBar Walk programme, organised by Tanjung Rhu Resort Langkawi in collaboration with the Langkawi Development Authority (LADA). A total of 60 LADA employees have participated in this programme and experienced the unique phenomenon of “split sea” and were able to walk on the sand dunes to the nearby small islands at a low tide of 0.0 metres.
This programme was also attended by YBrs. Tuan Wan Kamarul Faisal bin Wan Kamardin, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of LADA (Planning and Development) and YBrs. Tuan Haji Ahmad Fuad bin Che Ani @ Abdul Ghani, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of LADA (Management).
Thousands of tourists also flooded Tanjung Rhu Beach to witness this highly anticipated phenomenon. It is hoped that this kind of programme can be continued with a variety of more fascinating activities and also deliver information or awareness campaigns to tourists about the importance of protecting the environment, especially marine life.
