Yesterday, the 6th of October 2022 marked a historic day for Langkawi UNESCO Global Geopark as it was a whole day commemoration for The International Geodiversity Day celebrated with Kilim Primary School in LUGGp. Among present were the stakeholders of Langkawi Geopark, students, teachers, and community members.
The ceremony was officiated by YB Dato’ Juhari Bin Bulat Ayer Hangat District State Legislative Assembly Member and Tuan Haji Nasaruddin B. Abdul Muttalib, CEO of Langkawi Developement Authority.
Geodiversity Day is a day to celebrate the diverse and richness of earthy materials like stones, minerals, fossils, all forms and process that constitues the shape of the earth that we know today.
Langkawi UNESCO Global Geopark will continue to be one of many geological wonders we have in the country today.
