Langkawi Development Authority has received a visit from PUSPANITA of Perlis State to the Keluarga Malaysia STIE Design Space located at Laman Budaya, Wing B of the LADA Complex. The visit was led by YBhg Datin Seri Roslina binti Mior Adzlan, Chairman of PUSPANITA of Perlis State and accompanied by Puan Maimunah binti Yaacob, Chairman of PUSPANITA LADA. The visit was held to provide exposure and increase knowledge related to the facilities available in the STIE Design Space. Furthermore, it can promote the use of Keluarga Malaysia STIE Design Space as a venue for innovation and other activities.
The local community, especially students in Langkawi, have the opportunity to carry out innovation activities by using available technology such as 3D printers, drones, clothes printing machines and other equipment practically. In addition, the Langkawi community has the opportunity to use a design space that combines elements of a machine workshop, a handicraft workshop (arts and crafts) or a studio.
It is hoped that with the availability of these facilities, communities at every level of society can take the opportunity to use the facilities provided to improve knowledge in the fields of innovation and creativity as well as improve living standards.
