A total of 90 students from all over Langkawi participated in the Langkawi District Islamic Education Co-Curriculum event organised by the Langkawi District Education Office in collaboration with Langkawi Development Authority (LADA).
This event took place from May to October 2022 using two methods: online and face-to-face. There are six categories contested and two Langkawi children have won the ‘Daie Cilik Terbaik’ category, which are:
1. MALE CHAMPION: Muhammad Aqil bin Azmadi (SK Ulu Melaka)
2. FEMALE CHAMPION: Aiesha Safiya binti Amran (SK Ulu Melaka)
The opening ceremony and prize presentation were completed by YBrs. Tuan Nasaruddin Abdul Muttalib, Chief Executive Officer of LADA, accompanied by YBrs. Tuan Haji Mohd Kamal, Langkawi District Education Officer.
It is therefore hoped that such a programme will produce more talented Langkawi children who excel in the field of Islamic Education.
