From 23rd to 25th June 2023, Langkawi Development Authority sponsored 3 sales booths for entrepreneurs at the Sabah Agro Expo (SAEX) 2023. There were 4 Langkawi entrepreneurs, namely Puan Mardiana binti Shaari, who specialises in virgin coconut oil products, Puan Naimah binti Natzeri, a Langkawi chocolate entrepreneur, Puan Nur Hafilah binti Abdul Talib, specialising in retort food products, and Puan Noor Zahira Binti Mohd Salleh, an entrepreneur of health products based on sea cucumber. The programme received a very encouraging response, with total sales amounting to RM33,115.00 over the course of 3 days.
Langkawi products are seen as having high potential to be marketed in Sabah. LADA’s hope is that more Langkawi entrepreneurs will participate in expanding the marketing of their own products to external markets. For the entrepreneurs involved, LADA believes that they have successfully established better business networks in Sabah, and congratulations are extended for successfully selling all their respective products during the programme.
