August 15, 2024 – – Kementerian Pembangunan Usahawan dan Koperasi (KUSKOP) hosted an engaging event in Langkawi, featuring the Community Integration of Cooperatives (MASKOP), Cooperative Transformation and Digitization Program (DigiKOP), and a Cooperative Trail Visit.
Officially launched by YB Datuk Ewon Benedict, Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives, and supported by YBhg. Dato’ Haslina Bt Abdul Hamid, Chief Executive Officer of LADA, the event took place at the LADA Complex in Langkawi.
The program aimed to cultivate a cooperative spirit, enhance public understanding of cooperatives, and provide a platform to showcase the services and products offered by the cooperative movement. The agenda included a range of enriching activities:
i) Forum: “The Ecosystem of Cooperative Benefits”
ii) Briefing: “Tap-Taplah” by Koperasi Tanjung Keramat
iii) CSR Contribution: Donations to 30 cooperative members in Langkawi
iv) Madani Sales Event
v) Grants Briefing: Information from SME Bank, SKM, TEKUN, INSKEN, and Bank Rakyat
vi) Site Visits: To Koperasi Komuniti Kg Kilim Berhad and KOPTUBAS
This comprehensive program not only highlighted the significance of cooperatives but also fostered greater awareness and collaboration among the cooperative community.
