Kuala Sungai Melaka, 24th March 2021 – Langkawi Development Authority (LADA) Community Small Project 2021 (Phase 1) Approval Letters Handover Ceremony was officiated by YBhg. Dato’ Haji Mohd Suhaimi bin Haji Abdullah, LADA Board of Directors Joint Chairman, accompanied by YBrs. Dr. Hezri Adnan, LADA Chief Executive Officer and YBrs. Tuan Haji Rohaizad bin Rashid, Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Management) at about 11.00 a.m. here today.
Approval letters were handed to community representatives for nine small projects, among which include repairing of suraus (Islamic assembly buildings), community halls, nurseries, and graveyard fences as well as carpet and speaker systems donation to mosques and suraus around Langkawi, with a total cost of RM146,400.00.
The implementation of these community small projects is part of LADA’s efforts in helping Langkawi community by improving their well-being, fostering unity, enhancing safety, encouraging spiritual and economic activities, and nurturing goodwill between the agency and Langkawi locals.
