Langkawi Development Authority (LADA) has delivered business support to SM Color Pro Enterprise, Minamooq and Arena Lovely Cake House. The handover of this business support was completed by Cik Waffa Wahida binti Zainol, Manager of the Investment and Business Facilitation Division, LADA. This support is part of the New Economic Opportunities initiative under the Langkawi Economic Roadmap to help entrepreneurs affected by the COVID-19 outbreak.
The owner of SM Color Pro Enterprise, En. Mohd. Shukur bin Harif has been running a car workshop business and this company uses manual methods to paint cars. LADA has helped him to advance his business by providing a powder coating machine. The provision of this machine can simplify and lighten the work of painting automobiles, resulting in a faster work process. Furthermore, the application of powder coating material will spread more evenly over the surface area of the object compared to doing it manually.
While the owner of Minamooq, Puan Naimah binti Natzeri, has been working on a handmade chocolate business. The company uses a manual method to melt chocolate, making it difficult to produce vast quantities of chocolate. It is hoped that LADA’s support in purchasing chocolate tempering equipment (a wheeled mixer and mould) will boost her business’s efficiency.
Besides that, LADA has aided the Lovely Cake House Arena in the purchase of a display chiller. The founder, Puan Mazreena binti Azmi, has been running a bakery business. It is hoped that the support provided by LADA will facilitate her daily business operations and boost her daily income.
LADA is always concerned with helping local entrepreneurs to expand their businesses to increase their source of income. It is therefore hoped that the help provided can benefit all entrepreneurs to continue moving forward.
