The Human Resources and Management Services Division, LADA in collaboration with the National Archives of Malaysia Kedah/Perlis Branch has implemented a Records Disposal Workshop on 21 & 22 February 2023 as one of the steps towards the implementation of records disposal in 2023.
The objective of organising this workshop is to provide a clear understanding of the correct procedure for disposing of departmental files and records for the purpose of destruction or transfer in accordance with the National Archives of Malaysia procedures, as well as to strengthen the record management aspects of LADA.
This workshop involved a total of 36 people consisting of officers and staff who manage and handle files and records in Divisions/Units at LADA. A total of 3,500 files that have complied with the retention (storage) period at LADA have been identified to be disposed of according to the established procedure.
