Langkawi, 11 February 2023 – Puan Mismah binti Jimbun, Director of the National Science Centre (PSN) Kuala Lumpur and En. Arif Fakhrie bin Johari, Assistant Science Officer, En. Zulkifli bin Asli, PSN North Regional Branch staff has been willing to take the time to visit the STIE Design Space located at Laman Budaya, Wing B of the LADA Complex. This visit was also joined by LADA’s strategic partner, the Malaysian Innovation Foundation (YIM), which is an agency under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), namely Puan Sarah and Puan Haslina.
This visit was organised to provide exposure related to the facilities available at the STIE Design Space. In addition, this visit is also a survey to determine the appropriate location to hold the PSN STIE programmes, which will be held in September 2023.
LADA always welcomes private agencies, government departments and local communities that are interested in using the STIE Design Space as a place to carry out innovation activities and others.
It is hoped that with the availability of this facility, communities at every level of society can take the opportunity to use the facilities provided to improve knowledge in the fields of innovation and creativity in addition to improving living standards. For information, the STIE Design Space Project @ Community is a science, technology, innovation and economic culture programme by developing innovation product prototypes to the pre-commercialisation stage and replicating innovation projects to other communities. This programme is expected to improve the living standards and income of the local community through commercialization activities.
