The programme was held on 23rd June 2020 via Cisco Webex platform and had successfully attracted 182 participations from Malaysia and Indonesia. It aims to provide exposure on the management and development of a geosite in a geopark following the criteria of sustainable development and community needs in tourism context. The panels for the programme were representatives from both countries namely Profesor Dato’ Dr. Ibrahim Komoo, Vice President of Global Geopark Network, Professor Dr. Che Aziz Ali, Chairman of Geological Heritage Group of Malaysia, Ir. Budi Martono, General Manager of Gunung Sewu UNESCO Global Geopark, and Ir. Hanang Samodra, Leading Expert Researcher, Geological Agency, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Indonesia. Meanwhile, the moderators for this programme were representatives from LADA, En. Azmil Munif Mohd Bukhari who is also a part of Asia Pacific Geoparks Network Advisory Committee and from Indonesia, Bapak Togu Pardede, Deputy Director for Geology, Mining and Geothermal at BAPPENAS (Indonesian Ministry of National Development Planning).
