Langkawi, 3 July 2023 – LADA has received a work visit from the Sabah Maju Jaya Secretariat, State Public Service Department (JPAN) of Sabah, seeking to obtain insights regarding LADA’s role in the development of the Langkawi tourism sector.
In conjunction with the Langkawi UNESCO Global Geopark Revalidation Mission, the delegation was provided with explanations on the unique geological features dating back hundreds of millions of years in Langkawi, as well as the involvement of the local community in the success of the Geopark agenda.
A briefing session on the department’s functions was delivered by Madam Nordiana Nordin, Corporate Services Unit Manager, LADA. Meanwhile, a knowledge-sharing session on Langkawi Geopark Management was conducted by Mr. Mohd Shauqi, Assistant Manager of Corporate Services Unit, LADA.
This visit was led by the Director of Sabah Maju Jaya Secretariat, JPAN Sabah, Madam Rosnih binti Othman. Also present was the Deputy Director-General of the Agency Performance Division, JPAN Sabah, Dr. Zulasri bin Pitting.
